he used to smile but then his reason to smile was taken away from him so cruelly

the people who truly cared for him and probably the only people who ever had at the time 

and maybe that’s why he doesn’t show his emotions as much anymore like they’re still there he just hides them better and keeps them mostly locked up inside

because he’s afraid he’ll become attached to more people and then lose them again can you imagine how traumatic that must have been for him? to lose people he cared so much for and knowing it’s his fault for leaving them?

he used to express so much more emotion with farlan and isabel

and then he lost them the closest thing to family he’s probably ever had

so he went numb

because he knew it could happen again
